"The boys had a great time at the woodworking shop. They got to learn new skills handling tools they have never used before and building something from scratch so they had a good sense of accomplishment. I am very proud of what they did!"

- Coralie, mother of 3rd and 5th graders

"I took a toddler class with my son thinking it would be something along the lines of a Home Depot workshop. I was so wrong in a good way. This class was amazing. My son got to use real tools like saws and drills. He wore goggles which was a big hit and we made a beautiful centerpiece. He couldn't stop talking about it and took so much pride when we used the centerpiece at thanksgiving. I cannot wait for the next toddler class."

"I really liked the woodworking class. I felt like I learned a lot. The process of making the bench was really fun. I learned to work with tools, for example we used coping saws, and chisels, and a lot of others."

I have wished for something like this in our area for a long time, and Maplewoodshop does not disappoint! Mike is a caring and thoughtful instructor. My son struggled with the grip strength to saw accurately, but Mike was patient and encouraging. Building something with your own hands is an experience every kid should get to have. We will be back next session!

Mike conducted a workshop for our 5th grade Girl Scout troop. He was patient and informative, and the girls had a great time. They walked away with new skills and the confidence to tackle new projects. I highly recommend classes with Mike.
