Terms and Conditions

Maplewoodshop, LLC ("Company") provides access to woodworking courses, equipment and related services through our website (https://www.maplewoodshop.com, or “Site(s)”). The Site(s), and the products and services on the Site(s), are made available to you under the following terms and conditions. 

Ownership:

  • All content found on these Site(s) are the property of Maplewoodshop.

  • By using these Site(s), you are granted a non transferable, temporary license to use this content according to these terms and conditions.

  • You are not permitted to copy or distribute the contents of the Site(s) without expressed written permission from Maplewoodshop, LLC.

  • You cannot use trademarks, logos or service marks located on the Site(s) without prior written consent from the Company.

Product and Pricing:

  • Company reserves the right to change pricing on the Site(s) at any time.

  • Company reserves the right to decline an order placed on the Site(s).  If payment for the order was received, the Company will process a refund to the customer’s credit card in the amount of the original purchase.

  • Company may make coupons and other promotions available to customers periodically.  All coupons and promotions will have an expiration date and are subject to product availability.

Return Policy for Purchased Products:

  • Certain products on the Site(s), such as workbenches and tools, are available for purchase as a bundle or individually.  You may return a product bundle within two weeks of purchase.  Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.

  • Tools and equipment purchased individually are not able to be returned.  In the case of workbenches or tools that do not function as designed, Company will repair or replace these items at no charge. 

Warranty on Purchased Equipment

  • Workbenches are guaranteed to perform as designed for five years from the date of purchase.  To be eligible for this warranty, the workbenches must be cared for according to Company’s guidelines and used properly.  Company reserves the right to deny a warranty claim if there is evidence of neglect, improper use of the workbench, or excessive wear and tear.

  • Tools are covered by the warranty of their respective manufacturer.  Not all tools included in the Company’s program have a manufacturer’s warranty.

Subscription to Content:

  • Certain videos on the Site(s) (or “courses”) are available for a fee on a subscription basis.  You will have unlimited access to the course for a specified duration after you complete the checkout process and purchase the course.  The subscription will expire at the completion of the subscription period.  Company will not automatically renew your subscription.  To renew the subscription, you must purchase a new subscription to the course.

Pickup and Dropoff of Rented Equipment:

  • All pickups and returns are no touch. 

  • Company provides you with the option of picking up and dropping off your rented equipment at our East Orange location from 11-1 weekdays, holidays and weekends excluded

  • Please be prepared to show personal identification to Company employees when picking up your equipment.

Home Dropoff and Pickup of Equipment:

  • Company may offer to drop off and pick up rented equipment at your home.  Purchased equipment may also be delivered to your home.

  • Additional charges for home dropoff and pickup will apply.

  • Home dropoff and pickup service may be limited to the New Jersey counties of Essex, Union, Passaic, Hudson, Morris, and Bergen.

  • During the checkout process, you must indicate that you want the home dropoff and pickup service.

  • You will be assigned a dropoff date and a pickup date. 

  • Company will notify you in advance of the expected dropoff and pickup time, and update you by text message of our driver’s progress on the day of dropoff or pickup.  

  • You will have two delivery options: signature required and signature not required.

  • If you choose signature not required, you will have the option to instruct our driver to leave the equipment at a specific location, such as by the side door.  When leaving the equipment, our driver will take a picture of the equipment.  

  • When you choose signature not required, you are accepting responsibility for any equipment that is lost, damaged or stolen while unattended.

Shipping Policy:

  • For an additional fee, you have the option of having your equipment shipped to you.  Shipping charges will vary based on the quantity and size of the products shipped as well as the destination of the shipment.  Contact Company for an estimate of shipping charges prior to finalizing your order.

Cancellation Policy:

  • You may cancel your order and receive a full refund if the cancellation request is received at least 5 days prior to the date of shipment or dropoff.  

  • Within 5 days of the shipment or dropoff date, but prior to delivery, you will be charged a 15% fee to cover the cost of disassembling the order and returning the products to inventory.  

  • After delivery, see “Return Policy for Purchased Products” above for relevant charges and procedures.

Policy for Damaged Shipment:

  • If you are receiving shipped products, you must inspect the products at the time of delivery.  If there are any signs of damage to the product, you must refuse the shipment and notify the driver.  Company will ship replacement products as soon as the damaged items are returned.

  • If you accept items damaged in transit, you are responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged items.

Policy concerning Damage to Rented Equipment while in your Possession:

  • If the rented equipment is damaged due to improper use or carelessness, you will be responsible for the cost of repairing the equipment if a repair is determined to be cost-effective.  If the equipment cannot be repaired, or it is not cost-effective to do so in the Company’s judgement, you will be responsible for the cost of replacing the damaged equipment.  The cost of replacing the damaged equipment will be charged to your credit card.  For all equipment, the replacement cost will be the purchase price of the equipment listed on the Site(s).

  • Please do not leave the equipment outside, and do not expose the equipment to rain.

Policy concerning Lost Rented Equipment:

  • If you rented equipment, you are responsible for the replacement cost of any lost items.  The cost of replacing the lost equipment will be charged to your credit card.  For all equipment, the replacement cost will be the purchase price of the equipment published on the Site(s).

Proper table for woodworking:

  • All woodworking should be performed on a sturdy and completely stable table.  The table should be between 30 and 48 inches in width.  Company can supply a combination table/workbench as part of the rental package, subject to availability.  Additional rental fees for the table will apply.   

Non Disclosure of Proprietary Information:

  • I understand that I will be given access to proprietary information owned by Maplewoodshop. I agree to not share that information with any third parties during or after my participation in the course. I agree to return any materials or information including both physical and electronic copies of Maplewoodshop information.

Photo/Video Release Policy: 

  • I authorize Maplewoodshop to make reference to, use, reproduce, and/or publish photographs and/or videos that contain my or my children’s image, likeness, and/or voice without compensation in any manner that Maplewoodshop deems appropriate to promote and/or publicize their mission.
