Curriculum mapping can interfere with precious class time. For this reason, Maplewoodshop project bundles include curriculum maps that align NGSS and Common Core Math standards with all project activities. Project bundles also include a pacing guide that provides teachers with a full road map and timeline for every activity.

Inspire different types of learning

Maplewoodshop lesson plans include suggestions on how to leverage projects to reinforce classroom learning, social-emotional learning, and how to foster higher-level, deeper-thinking skills. Select projects are supplemented with open ended, design-challenge versions of lesson plans that help students develop an engineering mindset.

Project instructions for students are easy to follow, foster reading and math skills, and encourage creativity, problem solving, and collaboration. All instructional materials are available in English and in Spanish.
