Sawdust News Mayo 2025
A Message from Mike
Back in 2015, I volunteered at the first Maker Madness in Maplewood, NJ. That is when I found my purpose and created Maplewoodshop a year later. Now, 9 years in, we have helped over 10,000 youth develop purpose and find pathways. We thank you for your partnership and look forward to helping your youth in the coming years.

My kids thought I worked at the train station because that is where they saw me get out of the car. Harder still is bringing your child to a job site. Thanks to the EASRCC for hosting a great event at the Edison, NJ training center!

Rahway Alternative Center for Education
This school has found a way to deeply engage their HS students via woodworking. They understand that relinquishing agency to students to give more control is energizing.
They also proved that working together allows for conversation between students and teachers which builds relationships, which builds trust and gives more reasons to enage with challenging topics.
Keep up the great work!
