To bring woodworking to as many kids as possible, we made the choice to focus on training schools, camps and maker spaces to do hand-tool woodworking with kids. As a result, we suspended after school classes and gave up our local space.
HOWEVER, we are in several local places. See below for details.
Maplewoodshop Labs at the Hilton Branch of Memorial Library
Work with Maplewoodshop to create woodworking tools and learn design skills in a small, hands on environment. While there will be some geometry, it will be in the service of real world applications. Lessons are adapted from the book, "From Truth to Tools" by George Walker and Jim Tolpin"
For 4th and 5th graders, make a car with working headlights! You will design and build a small working car entirely out of wood, then wire with LED lights to make it work in the dark. Great for a nightlight or an evening drive in your room. Class limited to 8 students.
Jcc metrowest enrichment
